Gabrielle Frances Miller creates large-scale oil paintings and hand embroidery pieces to examine themes of vulnerability, transformation, and the emotional landscapes of the body. She currently lives and works in Boston and will begin the MFA program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Fall 2025. She received her BFA from James Madison University in 2024 and subsequently participated in residencies at McGuffey Art Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in Woodstock, New York. Using self-portraiture and symbols of desire, Miller examines cycles of selfhood and sexuality within dream-like compositions.
